What a fantastic place ! All the workers spoke great English and were very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable and were often empty during the week which mean good sleep ! Unlimited free internet was great for the cold, wet days. Good location only10 minutes walk to main shopping and nightclub/bar area in Sanjo. The bar had delicious, cheap foods and was usually buzz with people from many different countries. I will definetly stay here again on my next visit to Japan.

A wonderful budget accomodation. Where else can you find traditional furnishings, bedding & atitude side by side with free Wifi ? It's quiet ( after 11PM) and welcoming. I highly recommend Gojo Guest House in this fantastic city of Kyoto.

I really enjoyed my stay at Gojo GH. The location is great - it's easy to take buses in Kyoto. The Gojo staff speaks English and are super helpful. In addition, the cafe is great for some morning breakfast and tea, and at night for some cake and relaxation after a long day of walking around, seeing temples and shrines. I also recommend renting a bicycle to explore Kyoto. Enjoy Japan!

When I arrived Kyoto station, I easily reached Gojo Street. There it was Gojo Cafe right on the street as I was informed previously. A warm welcome, English speaking staff was very helpful. They guided me simply through the guest house. Kindly gave me the information about the towns and conditons. Clean sheets, western restrooms, airconditioning, cold drink, internet access, rental bicycle, almost central location, hot shower, and of course affordable accommodation. BRAVO! ありがとうございます。I enjoyed my stay at the Gojo Guest House. The atomsphere is very peaceful & the staff are very friendly. Facilities are very clean & the Gojo Cafe prepares nice meals & beverages. Bike hire is very cheap, 500yen for the whole day. I road from Kiyomizu Temple, to Kinkakuji & Ryoanji Temples, then down along the Katsura river. I recommend this route for visitors. わたしはうれしいです。

We loved the Gojo Guest House. The room was specious and clean. The atomosphere was mellow and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good, though it's not too close to shops and restaurants. But it's only a 10 minute walk to Gion and 5 minutes to the bus stop. The biggest downside is that the showers need renouvation. But overall, we highly recommend GGH to other travellers.
