The atmosphere fantastic (reasons:personnel + bar + music). The rooms are authentic and very nice. Plus : subway(KEIHAN) & train(HANKYU) nearby, which is convenient!
After only one night, we knew we wanted to stay here for the rest of our holiday in Kyoto, it's that good a place! So relaxed and yet so clean and beautiful, it has the best of both worlds' Kyoto is the most versatile I think of all of Japan : old culture, modern city centre and nature all in one. Rent a bicycle here in Gojo Guest House and explore for yourself! Thank you Eiji, Michiru and Keiko for the best holiday ever! P.S. Try to ask for their recipe of the banana juice - you'll taste in all Kyoto.

東京生まれ東京育ちのオレですが、京都への憧れは強く、京都の大学を受けたほどでした。（行けませんでしたが…）　９月に初めて京都一人旅をした時に偶然この宿を見つけ、中を案内してもらって鄙びた感じが気に入りました。（そのときは満室で泊まれませんでした…） 　そして２ヶ月もたたずして来てしまいました。同じ宿泊者の方々には仲良くしてもらったし、スタッフさんにも親切にしていただき、観光以外にもこの宿でよい思い出ができました。今度は英語勉強してきます！それとオレなりのお勧めスポットを宿のゲストブックに書き記したので、泊る方はよかったら見て下さい。

From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed with the comfortable atmosphere and friendly + hospitable staff. We were happy to have the opportunity to hire bicycles from the guesthouse each day. And if we had any questions about Kyoto ( or further a far ), the staff were a great help.
